Master Thesis Seminar Summer Term 2020 

If you are interested in writing your Master Thesis at the Chair of Entrepreneurship, please read the information on this side carefully.

NOTE:

  • Due to the high student numbers, we receive a great amount of inquiries to supervise Master Theses. As we only have a limited number of seats in the Master Thesis Seminar, we strongly recommend to also apply at other chairs for supervision.
  • Any prior meeting to discuss Master Thesis topics is not necessary.

Receive notification about acceptance

Kickoff meeting with thesis supervisor

May & August 2020

Student thesis presentations

September 2020

Submission of Master Thesis to Examination Office

 

Proposed topics for summer term:

  • Organizational design of hybrid ventures
  • Business models for multiple stakeholders
  • Stakeholders and stakeholder relations of social ventures
  • Collaboration and value co-creation of social ventures
  • Moral and ethical values in social and sustainable entrepreneurship
  • Change of ethical concerns in society and its influence on social and sustainable entrepreneurship
  • Relation between ethical theories and social and sustainable entrepreneurship

 Students can also propose own topics.

 

Application requirements:

Students who are interested in writing their Master Thesis at the Chair of Entrepreneurship need to submit a 1) thesis proposal as well as 2) transcript of records via email to Prof. Dr. Matthias Raith or Dr. Nicole Siebold by March 15, 2020 latest. 

 

Content of Master Thesis proposal:

Your Master Thesis proposal should not exceed two pages (excluding references) and should be submitted as a virus-free PDF file. It should also be in line with the academic writing guidelines, which you should have learnt in your academic skills or Bachelor Thesis seminar.

Please include the following aspects:

  • Outline the relevance of your topic
    (Why is your topic important? What do recent studies say about the relevance of your topic?)

  • Identify the research gap and propose a research question
    (Are there scientific studies which call for this topic or question?)

  • Detail the current state of knowledge related to your research question
    (What is known in relation to your research question? Why is it important to close the gap?)

  • Explain to be used methods
    (How will you answer your research question?)
